A great base in the New Forest, a great cottage and the welcome local produced items are most welcome.
Walked to Setley Pond with the route from the folder kindly provided by Nina. Also carried onto the Filly Inn. Also drove to Burley village and circular walks. Milford on Sea and a bracing walk also Lymington for shops and food and Hare & Hounds pub for reasonable food.
Thank you Nina for a warm welcome and attention to detail during booking.
Thank you for a lovely cottage to base ourselves whilst we discover the New Forest.
Comfortable, cosy, very relaxing.
We have had a wonderful peaceful week in your lovely cottage. Our batteries are fully recharged.
Many thanks for lovely treats. Attention to detail superb.
Just an extended weekend - and a very wet one! However Kings Hyde Cottage was a very welcoming place to return to. Very well appointed, warm & snug it was a most relaxing base.
We had an evening meal at the Hare & Hounds in Sway which provided a very good typical pub meal and a splendid lunch at the Fleur de Lys in Pilley. We had been warned their servings were generous , and they certainly were! It is advisable to book a table at both establishments.
We will certainly recommend this spotless cottage to friends
We have spent a wonderful month here. You are very kind and generous hosts and your cottage is a home away from home.
We have recommended you to people here and will be doing the same to our friends in Canada.
What an absolute gem of a cottage we have found. Absolutely everything we need and all so very immaculate, we could not have done better. So thank you Nina for providing such a wonderful, comfortable home which is an excellent centre for visiting this lovely National Park. We particularly liked Boldre church with its connection toHMS Hood and the Bismarck. Waitrose at Lymington provided all our needs, but we did support the little shop in Sway as well. We return home with fond memories of a very natural area, its ponies, donkeys and cattle but above all its marvellous trees.
Thank you Nina for the gifts and your diligent care.
We have had a very comfortable and restful week in your lovely cottage (even the weather was kind).
Everything in the cottage was very well thought out, equipped and decorated. Very nice on the patio in the sun with a glass of wine (thanks to you for the goodies). Lovely walks nearby especially near Brockenhurst.
We have had the most wonderful rest in this beautifully catered for Cottage. Lots of walking (Setley Pond over the road is lovely!). Blashford lakes Nature Reserve (enjoyed lunch at the Alice Lisle while we were there). We have walked miles and enjoyed the absolute freedom only the New Forest can offer.
A wonderful break hosted by the lovely Nina & Tony - we cannot thank you enough for such a marvellous week.
Thank you for the lovely treats and warm welcome. We've had a lovely week exploring the local area and returning to a comfortable well equipped cottage.
We've walked miles!
- Lymington to Keyhaven
- Bucklers Hard to Beaulieu
- Milford on Sea & cliff top walk
- Local walk to Setley Pond and also enjoyed an evening walk to the Filly Inn (delicious meal and friendly staff)
Finishing with a relaxing day on Highcliffe beach & beautiful views & surprisingly quiet.
We have really enjoyed our week at Kings Hyde Cottage. Thanks for the lovely treats and for making us feel so comfortable and relaxed.
We have dodged the showers and enjoyed visits to Bucklers Hard, Milford on Sea and Hengistbury Head for the amazing views and to admire the smart beach huts! Cream Tea at the Montagu Inn at Beaulieu was a real treat. We chose a sunny day to go to the Isle of Wight and enjoyed a visit to Osborne House. Lots to see if you are interested in Queen Victoria.
We hope to come back to explore more of this beautiful area.
We had the great pleasure in spending a week in Kings Hyde Cottage which is beautifully appointed and true to every picture on the website. Nothing has been left to chance or forgotten, it is bright, comfortable and very clean with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The area is beautiful and there is so much to do and see. A little spot of secluded luxury.
Another peaceful, relaxing and wonderful week at Kings Hyde Cottage.
These breaks are priceless.
Thank you we have had a lovely week in the New Forest. Kings Hyde Cottage is very clean and tidy & also quiet and peaceful. No light pollution makes evening walks a pleasure when you catch sight of deer, bats owls etc.
Cycling or walking in the forest is very enjoyable and we can recommend the Bank pub near Lyndhurst.
If you fancy a dip in the sea the beach at Barton on Sea is very secluded.
Perfect stay in a home from home, clean, cosy, great shower/bathroom and kitchen. The sun shone for the whole week.
We enjoyed Lymington town trails (3), Hurst Castle & Ferry, Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu Est & village, Keyhaven & Milford on Sea, Sway Butchers pies :-), Brockenhurst Woodland walk & Lepe country park.
Thank you so much for a wonderful place to base our stay.
Thanks to a week of sunshine we have had a truly great time. The walks in the forest were sublime, dappled sunlight, trees magnificent, etc.
Our best "eating out" experiences were the Red Lion at Burley (most pleasant pub garden) and the George, waterside terrace at Yarmouth IOW and the Master Builders at Bucklers Hard.
It is very rare to award 10 out of 10 to a holiday cottage but Kings Hyde deserves it - and more! A v, v, comfortable week.
We have really enjoyed our week at Kings Hyde Cottage. Thank you so muchfor the welcome treats. The cottage is very relaxing & comfortable, and we appreciated all of the info on the local area, particularly the walking routes.
Thank you once again for a lovely stay at Kings Hyde Cottage. Everything just perfect. The "welcome goodies" were much appreciated. Weather was glorious. We will RETURN.
What a lovely cottage, with everything we needed and more. The homemade brownies were simply delicious.
Places of interest are Exbury gardens and the fantastic motor museum in Beaulieu.
Hare & Hounds local pub was very friendly.
Just a shame about the weather.
Thank you for a lovely stay in your beautifully thought out and well equipped cottage. We really enjoyed the local treats that you provided which were a lovely touch!
Great days out walking from Highcliffe to Hengisbury Head, cycling from Burley on a couple of different routes and visits to local villages, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Lymington. Fabulous food at Greedo & Noisy Lobster & Rosie Lea tea rooms. Also enjoyed a couple of 30 min strolls to Hare & Hounds for a cheeky G & T and local beer.
Would love to return.
We have had a most enjoyable week staying in this most delightful cottage in a peaceful setting.
The details of walks have been very useful i.e Setley Pond walk (in the folder). Boldre Village village & Brockenhurst village (No. 2 & 11 in the plastic wallet). We also discovered a lovely walk from Christchurch - £1 ferry ride to Wick- then walking over Hengistbury Head to Mudeford & back to Christchurch. Our visit to Exbury gardens was enjoyable but the Rhododendrons have nearly finished flowering for this year.
Thank you Nina & Tony for the warm welcome a perfect escape: accommodation , treats and setting.
Have loved exploring Hurst Castle (wrap up warm!) Bucklers Hard we walked to Beaulieu Village. Delicious Cream tea at the Old Bakehouse - you get 2 scones per person!!
Pleasant walk from Highcliffe Castle to Mudeford Quay along the beach.
Used the New Forest App for walks.
We have been very comfortable in this lovely cottage which has everything we have needed, and more.
We have visited several of the places other visitors have mentioned plus Mottisfont which is a National Trust property. The house and the old priory is very interesting & it has a wonderful walled garden.
Many thanks for all the "goodies" - much enjoyed & appreciated.
Had a wonderful time, weather was beautiful.
Looking forward to next year. Wonderful setting and lovely hosts.
First time we (Dutch couple) stayed here in the New Forest. The unspoilt nature makes an impressive and great experience. We visited many places. Also our stay in this luxury cottage makes a Home away from Home feeling.
We also went by ferry to the Isle of Wight, which was a lovely Day. On Sunday we visited the Reformed Evangelical chapel in Mockmeggar. Beautiful surroundings.
This is a peaceful and relaxing hidden cottage. Very private but when you need some help, the neighbours are just on your doorstep. Very friendly people.
We love this place and will be recommending this cottage to others. Thanks Nina & Tony for your hospitality. God bless this house Teun & Jane
Thank you Nina & Tony for a wonderful few days in a home away from home. We found the cottage to have everything we could possibly need, and was a perfect place to start exploring the New Forest.
Thanks for the recommendations of the Hare & Hounds, Wheel Inn and walks around the local area.
We also found the numerous local info brilliant in planning our adventures. We saw Bucklers Hard, Hurst Castle, Highcliffe Castle and Salisbury.
It was also wonderful to see the deer and ponies nearby!
We hope to come back in the future and will be recommending Kings Hyde to friends & family.
Spent a delightful week in this top-notch cottage everything has been thought of and to a very high standard.
With practically wall to wall sunshine the holiday was idyllic. A tip to walkers/cyclists avoid Ditton Farm if at all possible-it's really horrible in every respect. All our other walking routes were first class- it's doubtful whether there is such a thing as a poor walking route in the New Forest in our brief experience.
Many thanks Nina & Tony for everything.
Found a cottage which meets our needs,
Providing everything we needed.
The "welcome goodies" were much appreciated.
The quality of the kitchen utensils is much higher than in many similar properties.
Our thanks to Nina & Tony
Had a delightfully peaceful stay at Kings Hyde Cottage. Lots of fun exploring the Forest, getting muddy and flat tyres!
Thank you for your kind hospitality.
We had a lovely Christmas in the Cottage, just as we did last year.
Thank you for the welcome basket.
We look forward to seeing you in June 2019.
Can’t fault the cottage has everything you could need and more besides all the kitchen stuff is first class. Lovely welcome and nice treats to enjoy. We have been all over the New Forest and done lots of walks we like Lymington the best. Lots of good places to eat in Lymington. We like the Bosuns Chair as we watched City win there!!
Thanks to Nina & Tony for everything.
We have had a lovely time this week!
The weather has been great for walking, with clear blue skies and 18 degrees on Wednesday.
Three beautiful circular walks - all different.
Keyhaven Ferry - Hurst Castle - Milford on Sea
Bolton's Bench - Matley Heath - Park Hill - Lyndhurst
Mudeford Ferry - Hengistbury Head - Christchurch Priory.
Lovely meal at the Fleur de Lys in Pilley.
The cottage is lovely and quiet and beautifully presented.
Thanks for the welcome treats!
Once again thanks for a lovely cottage. This time (our 3rd), a new kitchen - perfect!!
We travelled a little further this time as we had previously walked in the New Forest.
Hamble-Le-Rice (40 mins east) a lovely village with walks along the Solent Way.
Hengistbury Head (30 mins west) a beautiful peninsula near Christchurch with lovely views and walks.
Thanks again Nina & Tony.
A lovely few days stay and very lucky with the weather. The local information was very helpful and we followed up on the recommendations for trips and places to eat. We enjoyed the ferry to Hurst Castle and the food and atmosphere at the Hare & Hounds. For motorbike enthusiasts Sammy Millers motorbike museum at New Milton is a must!
Many thanks Nina.
A first class cottage and a great introduction to the New Forest and Hampshire coast. We have walked our socks off! Had a problem finding the Blackwater Arboretum, but put in Rhinefield Ornamental drive in the SatNav and you'll find it. During our search we happened across "Furzey Gardens" fab gardens, tranquil, cafe and best of all lots of plants begging for a home and cheap too!
Loved the log burner, although not strictly necessary this week, the weather has been lovely.
Thanks Nina we will be back.
A wonderful few days in the New Forest.
Lovely accommodation and fantastic weather!
We explored Exbury Gardens and Lepe.
Walked from Keyhaven to Hurst Castle - caught the ferry back! Also visited Burley and Lymington.
Thank you Nina for the welcome tray of local treats.
Our second weeks stay in Kings Hyde Cottage after travelling 2,500 miles in England and northern Scotland.
In our 5 weeks in the UK in a variety of guesthouses, hotels and B & B's this is by far the best all round accommodation for comfort, location and relaxing environment.
We loved the treats!
Thank you Nina & Tony for making us feel so welcome.
A wonderful property once owned by grandparents Frank & Nellie.
Nina and Tony, you have done it proud with your renovations.
We have had an excellent week at Kings Hyde Cottage and would gladly come back. We have enjoyed the location by walking to the Hare & Hounds and the Hobler and using it as a base for our bike rides into the forest and along the Solent Way.
I recommend the burgers at the Monkey House and we enjoyed an excellent meal at the Mayflower. It is a wonderful place to enjoy our first holiday with our 8 month old son, who has been on a bicycle, a boat and a monorail for the first time!
Many thanks to Nina & Tony for looking after us by providing excellent accommodation and information.
We have stayed in many places in the New Forest over the last 6 years and Kings Hyde Cottage is simply the best.
Lovely accommodation with plenty of space.
Lots of beautiful places to visit, Lepe Park, Beaulieu and the old town of Lymington.
Visited the "Wheel Inn" pub, run by the local community, lovely pub with good food and beer.
The treats were a lovely surprise.
We will certainly be coming back.
We have a ferry to catch so just a quick but very sincere "thank you".
We enjoyed our stay here very much & the Cottage is everything you'd wish for on holiday.
We have had a wonderful, idyllic Honeymoon!
This cottage was everything we wanted, peaceful and very well equipped.
The local walks and hostelries were splendid.
The scenery was marvellous and we could not have had a better time.
All the best for your future lettings
We have certainly enjoyed a very relaxing stay in your very comfortable, well equipped holiday cottage. What a wonderful location- such a quiet area but only a short drive to local amenities.
We have visited many of the New Forest towns/villages including Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst, Burley, Bucklers Hard, Milford on Sea where we enjoyed walking along the shingle path to Hurst Castle. We also had a very pleasant day in Christchurch.
We feel very fortunate to have had such warm weather which has enhanced our stay in the New Forest.
We have enjoyed meals at the Hare & Hounds, Sway, Passford House Hotel and the Fisherman's Rest in Lymington.
All in all a most enjoyable holiday.
Thank you Nina & Tony for your hospitality. We hope to visit you again.
We must agree with all previous comments in this book. Probably for us this takes some beating, our best holiday stay so far.
The New forest is astoundingly beautiful and we hope to return someday.
Also the garden just raises one's spirits when viewed from the terrace, a great place to al fresco for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Thanks Nina for your efforts and making us feel so welcome.
We have enjoyed a wonderful week's holiday here. The weather has been excellent and we have been made welcome and comfortable in this delightful cottage.
The beautiful garden made a good subject for a pencil sketch of the front and a little watercolour of the back terrace - a reminder of our stay.
What a time we have had...
-The cottage, a home from home
- The surroundings, birds, horses, donkeys, cows and especially the woods
- Our E-Bike tour over to Burley (with Cyclexperience in Brockenhurst).
-Saturday market at Lymington, trips to Beaulieu, the Hobler Pub and the Hare and Hounds.
Many thanks for such a lovely welcome Nina. Your cottage is absolutely lovely, and the little extras you provided were most welcome. There was nothing you hadn't thought of.
It was easy to get to all the local attractions from the cottage and all the local pubs and restaurants served delicious food.
We will definitely be coming back at some stage and will recommend it to others.
Nina and Tony are very friendly and welcoming hosts! Kings Hyde Cottage is modern, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Nina has fantastic attention to detail providing a fabulous welcome pack of local produce and many careful touches that make a stay at King's Hyde Cottage a delight. We were staying in April when the weather can be so changeable so we really appreciated the warmth of the accommodation one minute (full central heating and a lovely wood burner) and the ability to step out onto the patio to enjoy the sunshine the next. The garden in Spring is an absolute delight. There are fabulous walks from your front door - a footpath leads out onto the open forest at Shirley Holms just five minutes away. With Lymington a mere ten minutes away by car, all the New Forest to explore, and the fabulous coastline along to Christchurch and Bournemouth, a fortnight is just not enough!
We've had a very relaxing, quiet and battery recharging break. Thank you for the creature comforts of home and your attention to detail; not least the Turkish towels!! We've already ordered some for home. See you again.
Enjoyed a lovely weekend in your beautiful little cottage despite the weather not being kind to us.
Really appreciated all the goodies tray - thank you for thinking of everything!
We had a smashing meal at the Fleur-de-Lys, will certainly be making a return journey there and also hope to enjoy your hospitality again soon.
Enjoyed our short break very much.
The cottage was very comfortable, well appointed and tastefully laid out. Got two sunny days and both of us are rambled out!
Thanks a Million.
We had a lovely stay at Kings Hyde Cottage. Beautifully presented and a lovely area.
Thank you for the goodies, it made our stay here special.
We chose this cottage to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary & we were not disappointed! We have fond memories of the New Forest as we used to come here regularly many years ago with caravan & kids in tow!
Thank you once again Nina for playing a part in making out stay a very special one. You went far beyond the call of duty.
We sought out haunts old & new & were reminded how lovely & unique this area is. Had a great time.
Spent a lovely New Year weekend in the New Forest and this gorgeous cottage. Had everything we could ask for.
The villages nearby were really pretty and had a Sunday lunch in Burley Inn which was my favourite area. There was so much we didn't have time to see, so would love to come back.
Thank you for letting us stay in this lovely cottage and making us feel so welcome.
Thank you Nina your cottage is perfect, very clean, you have thought of everything also many thanks for the Welcome basket.
We had a fabulous meal at Rick Stein's in Sandbanks also great food & atmosphere at Hare & Hounds in Sway.
We have had a lovely Christmas here and wish you & Tony a very Happy New Year.
Look forward to seeing you again.
Our first visit but definitely not our last. We love the Cottage and the New Forest and we have met lovely very friendly people everywhere we've been. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. Looking forward to the next time.
With very best wishes
Really enjoyed our stay at Kings Hyde Cottage. Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting.
Thanks Nina and Tony (and Tilly) for a lovely stay. The welcome "goodies" were much appreciated.
We have had a lovely relaxing week in the New Forest, helped by warm and sunny days! The accommodation and venue have been perfect with all the little added extras- especially the dark chocolate.
Highlights of our days out have been trips to Hurst Castle, we used the ferry to get there. Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary is well worth a visit. We managed to see ponies, deers, pigs and donkeys all in one day. Visits to Lymington and Hythe were also very enjoyable. One of the best things is you don't have to find lots of different views/activities.
What a little gem - thank you so much for allowing us to start our journey as a married couple in your wonderful cottage.
Everything - from the extra special welcome pack to the weather - has been perfect.
We have enjoyed some fantastic walks in the surrounding area and coast as well as eating amazingly well in a variety of places.
Tha cottage is spectacularly kept and we very much look forward to our next visit.
Thank you again
We had a fabulous time & stay at Kings Hyde Cottage set in a beautiful location and a comfortable, relaxing place to return to at the end of the day. We had great weather to enjoy long days at our favourite places and can recommend the Harbour Hotel, Mudeford and the Kings Arms Christchurch for excellent meals.
A big thank you to Nina & Tony for making our stay so special - wonderful hosts. The Welcome tray was very appreciated.
Thank you both for the 80th birthday gift. It was very generous of you. It was a lovely surprise and will be a lasting memory of our stay here.
We hope to return!
Excellent decision to return to Kings Hyde Cottage for a second time. Equally as good as the first time. This cottage and the surrounding area are perfect for us. Good walks in Burley & Brockenhurst area plus lovely views as we walked along Hordle Cliffs.
thank you Nina & Tony for the "goodies" and an excellent stay - you may well see us again....
A beautiful comfortable cottage in a really perfect location. Peaceful & quiet but within easy range of lots of interesting attractions.
We would highly recommend and would certainly consider coming back again.
The information provided was very useful and comprehensive.
Thank you for such a lovely place to stay, it really does tick all the boxes.
It's an ideal location for any area of the Forest & for the Coast & with the helpful notes we found some new places to visit.
We have just returned from Dinner at the Password House, it really is first class with the food & the welcome (we were even offered complimentary liqueurs as it was our anniversary).
Thank you Nina, also for the welcome basket etc.
Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
The cottage and surrounding countryside were perfect & exactly what we had hoped for.
There are some lovely walks & restaurants within easy reach.
The Cottage was very clean and comfortable with everything that we needed, the welcome pack was a lovely surprise.
Thank you Nina
Lovely modern and well equipped cottage in great surroundings. In easy reach of all the attractions. The Tall Trees Trail at Blackwater and Deer feeding at Bolderwood are well worth a visit. Great Night Sky.
Would definitely recommend it.
Thank you so much- we've had a great week despite the weather! It was a bit chilly to begin with. However, I really enjoyed using and eating the lovely things awaiting us on our arrival and returning to St Ives with several bottles & fudge!
One of the highlights was visiting the New Forest Show which you kindly got tickets for us- I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much!
The countryside around here is so lovely., Christchurch is worth a visit and the boat ride from Hythe to Southampton (there is a little train on the pier). Also the chippy in Hythe Ha Ha. Best Wishes
Beautiful, tastefully furnished cosy accommodation we couldn't fault the facilities here and loved the welcome basket.
Found loads to do and as we were blessed with great weather we could cram in a visit to most areas although next time we would like longer here.
Enjoyed Beaulieu & the river walk to Bucklers Hard. Thought the drive through Rhinefield Ornamental way was beautiful. Local pub the Hare & Hounds do massive meals for good prices.
Hope to come back again.
What a find - thanks Nina- such a lovely few days in your beautiful cottage - loved the bed- so comfortable- the best holiday bed ever! Great location too - have visited Lymington, Christchurch, ventured into the New forest, seen Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and enjoyed evening walks along Hordle Cliffs and uptown Setley Pond. Fantastic weather as well. Thanks again
How lucky were we that your gem of a cottage was available for the last days of our GB trip before we flew out. It is ideally situated so that all the beautiful areas are easily accessible and we did our best to cram in as much as we could despite some inclement weather.
Will certainly recommend your cottage to all our friends.
Thank you for making us so welcome in your beautiful cottage. You go over and above to make your guests feel relaxed, and the welcome basket and milk were a delightful touch. We will definitely be recommending this little hideaway to friends and family!
It is difficult to write anything original that has not already been put by others. This delightful cottage and beautiful setting has been prefect for us. Discerning owners Nina and Tony have thought of everything. Walking on the heath, between Lymington and Keyhaven, on the Saltmarshes and out on the Spit at Hurst Castle (the aroma of bacon sarnies almost too much to resist) were all very relaxing. Plus of course Pubs, Lymington and all the other villages made our stay very satisfying- if you manage to tick the "sunshine box" when booking, everything went up at least 5 notches as well. Many Thanks
The cottage is lovely, very comfortable with everything we needed, Including peace and quiet. Just what the doctor ordered.
The countryside was stunning and great to have right on our doorstep.
Lots of lovely walks & a lovely day in Lymington.
We are second generation visitors. Our daughter Lucy, and her partner were here at Christmas and recommended we had a few days here ourselves. They were right. We endorse all the comments that have already been written in this book.
It is a "home from home". The accommodation is ideal for us and the location is great. Nina and Any, you have created a little gem here.
Thank you so much - we had a wonderful week in your beautiful, cosy and comfortable cottage. It has been perfect and we have loved the peace and quiet.
We can recommend Exbury Gardens - allow plenty of time! The Oak Inn at Bank does an excellent Steak and Ale pie. We also enjoyed Rosie Lea's tearooms in Brockenhurst - the lightest of scones, home made cakes and a selection of teas.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the New Forest helped by the selection of information provided.
We have had a great holiday! The cottage is in a great location and perfect for exploring the area. It is very comfortable and cosy and we loved all the little extras- wine, chocolate! Thank you.
We will definitely recommend to family and friends.
We had a lovely few days at Kings Hyde Cottage. The Cottage is beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped with everything we could need. Nina was an excellent host, really welcoming and friendly and very helpful about the local area.I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Kings Hyde Cottage has been a perfect home from home for a long weekend focussing on birdwatching. It is beautifully quiet and peaceful and has all the amenities I could wish for (plus some extra treats- thank you!) The location is perfect- one can walk into the forest and bird spotting hot-spots are within easy reach(Blandford lakes, Keyhaven and Lymington Marshes, any number of woods and heathland area- a great diversity of habitat). It has been a wonderful first visit to the New Forest. With many thanks and good wishes.
We loved every minute of our cottage stay. The cottage had everything we needed. The lovely welcome pack was a very nice touch and we especially enjoyed the hot chocolate sticks. We had a very relaxing week, mornings spent walking in the forest, the afternoons chilling watching DVDs and enjoying the open fire. Living in this little bubble for the week was just lovely.
We were your first guests from abroad but certainly not your last! The scenery is stunning in this area, we enjoyed the variety of the landscape and the wild horses so much, oh and the "gorse" yellow flowers, beautiful! Your cottage is warm and comfortable. Thank you for facilitating a great week!.....
Thank you Nina, your cottage is absolutely fab! We came in search of some peace before the christmas madness + that is exactly what we got! Days spent out in the fresh air, nights spent curled up in front of the fire! Don't be surprised if you see us again next year + my folks.
Thank you very much Nina and Tony for hosting us in your beautiful and very comfortable cottage. It was just the place we needed for rest and relaxation after a very challenging 1st trimester. However that did mean we did very little exploring and more puzzles and reading! Password House Hotel just across the road do a very lovely afternoon tea and your first swim is free even if you are not a guest there! We definitely feel recharged and somewhat ready to go back to the hustle and bustle of London. Will miss your lovely dog Tilly. Thanks again for being such lovely hosts and the ride back to Brockenhurst.
We have very much enjoyed our stay at Kings Hyde Cottage- thank you Nina for your hospitality! Such an ideal location for visiting the coast and the forest. Our highlights have included a visit to Beaulieu, the Ornamental drive with walks in the arboretum and walking on the coast at Barton on Sea. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Fleur de Lys returning a second time to round off our holiday. Best Wishes.
Thanks very much Nina. We have had a very good week in your comfortable and quiet cottage, and enjoyed our first visit to the New Forest. Had a good day at Beaulieu, enjoyed the walk to Hurst Castle, the Castle itself and the boat back to Keyhaven. Had a splendid meal at the Fleur de Lys in Pilley. It was also very convenient to be able to walk direct from the cottage into the forest (Setley Pond). Thanks again for your welcome and help.
Thank you Nina and Tony for a wonderful bank holiday weekend. The location is as tranquil as described and the cottage has everything we could of ever needed. We had an amazing dinner at Fleur de Lys in Pilley and so grateful for the recommendation. We found sitting outside the Ship Inn in Lymington to be a favourite of ours. Your hospitality makes your cottage extra special, thank you again.
What a lovely place-fabulous cottage and fabulous area. We have had a great week and have been spoilt for choice of things to do; it is an area we will definitely return to. We have enjoyed walking in the forest around Lyndhurst; biking around Brockenhurst and lapping up the sun in Bournemouth.Your comfortable cottage has had everything we needed and your hospitality and friendliness have enhanced our stay.
Thank you Nina, your cottage was the perfect find! I believe you have thought of everything and shall certainly recommend to family and friends. I can also recommend the 11/2 hour hack from Ford Farm Stables and swimming in Pennington.
Enjoyed our break. Very pleased with our comfortable accommodation. Would certainly recommend your accommodation in future. Many thanks.
We enjoyed our week in your cottage. We have found everything here that we could have wished for and our only regret is that the time has just flown by. Had a great meal at the Filly and would recommend it.
We have had a lovely week in your cottage. It is very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing!
We have enjoyed some of the walks provided in the folder particularly around Brockenhurst. The short walk to Setley Pond is also lovely- we arrived to find the model sail boat enthusiasts making full use of the pond.
Spent the only rainy day visiting Beaulieu motor museum etc-well worth a visit.
Also visited Lymington on market day-saturday morning, Milford and Lepe.
Loved the horses, cows etc-even the cheeky ones who wanted to share our lunch!
We've had a great time in this gorgeous, comfortable and very relaxing cottage. Can't fault anything at all and the location is ideal too-right in the heart of the countryside yet only a couple of miles from the sea.
We really enjoyed Milford on Sea, Lymington, Beaulieu and Lepe beach.
Thanks Nina and Tony for thinking of everything and being the perfect hosts.
We've had a lovely stay at Kings Hyde Cottage. The cottage was perfect for the 2 of us and our 2 year old. We enjoyed Milford on Sea, Lymington, Brockenhurst and cycling in Burley.
The Hare and Hounds pub in Sway has a great garden and play area for young children and quick to serve meals. And was apleasant walk there and back past the horses roaming the verges. Thanks very much Nina
What a delightful cottage thank you for our lovely short stay holiday we really enjoyed ourselves and hope to come back again soon.
The Cottage is just like a Tardis, small on the outside and huge on the inside but complete with everything one would need, comfortable bed, great kitchen and lovely lounge. Ideal retreat for a couple as nice and quiet.
